Information you give to us. We will use this information:

• to provide  sub-contractors,  service  providers,  suppliers  and  local  authorities information as required to facilitate our service to you;
• to provide you with information about other goods and services we offer that are similar to those that you have already purchased or enquired about;
• to provide you with information  about goods or services  we feel may interest you.  If you  are  an existing  customer,  we will only  contact  you  by electronic means  (e-mail  or SMS)  with  information  about  goods  and  services  similar  to those which were the subject of a previous sale or negotiations of a sale to you. If you are a new customer, we will contact you by electronic means only if you have consented to this.  If you do not want us to use your data in this way, or to pass your details on to third parties for marketing purposes, please let us know by emailing  info@papillonlandscape.co.uk stating “Please remove me from your mailing list”.

[We do not disclose information about identifiable individuals to our advertisers, but we may provide them with aggregate information about our users (for example, we may inform them that 500 men aged under 30 have clicked on their advertisement on any given day). We may also use such aggregate information to help advertisers reach the kind of audience they want to target (for example, women in SW1). We may make use of the personal  data we have collected  from you to enable us to comply with our advertisers' wishes by displaying their advertisement to that target audience].
• Analytics and search engine providers that assist us in the improvement and optimisation of our site.

• In the event that we sell or buy any business or assets, in which case we may disclose your personal data to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets.
• If Papillon Designs & Landscaping Limited or substantially all of its assets are acquired by a third party, in which case personal data held by it about its customers will be one of the transferred assets.

WHERE WE STORE YOUR PERSONAL DATA

The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area ("EEA"). It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or for one of our suppliers. Such staff may be engaged in, among other things, the fulfilment of your order, the processing of your payment details and the provision of support services. By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing.   Papillon Designs & Landscaping Limited will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.

All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers. Any payment transactions will be encrypted.   Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.

Unfortunately,  the  transmission  of  information  via  the  internet  is  not  completely  secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted  to our site; any transmission  is at your own risk. Once we have received  your  information,  we  will  use  strict  procedures  and  security  features  to  try  to prevent unauthorised access.

A paper record including your name, address and contact telephone numbers may be used by our employees in the form of a Work Order record or a foolscap folder containing information relevant to the service we are providing to you.  Our employees secure all paperwork out of sight in locked vehicles whilst working onsite, or these records are kept in our locked office.

RETENTION PERIOD

We will store your personal data for the duration of our service contract and for 12 months thereafter so that we may maintain adequate communication  with you throughout the term of the service and the following 12 month warranty period (where applicable).  If you wish to receive information on our new products and services from time to time please let us know by completing the attached Consent Form.

We will retain invoices for a period of 6 years, as required by HM Revenue and Customs and service contracts for a period of 6 years after contract completion.

YOUR RIGHTS

You can access  any information  we hold about you.   Please  contact  us, in writing  (Skye Steading, Kingswells, Aberdeen, AB15 8RN), asking us for details of any data we hold about you. If we have any data which matches the details you give us, we’ll attempt to share this with you within 40 days of your request.

You have the right to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes. We will usually inform you (before collecting your data) if we intend to use your data for such purposes or if we intend to disclose your information to any third party for such purposes. Our site may,  from  time  to time,  contain  links  to and  from  the websites  of our partner networks, advertisers and affiliates.  If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that  these  websites  have  their  own  privacy  policies  and  that  we  do  not  accept  any responsibility or liability for these policies.  Please check these policies before you submit any personal data to these websites.

You have the right, at any time, to withdraw your consent for Papillon Designs & Landscaping Limited to use/process your personal information.   However, we may be unable to continue to deliver the service you require, for example if we are unable to provide your address to sub-contractors or suppliers.
